UwU Con
October 28, 2022 - October 30, 2022
UwU Con is a three-day anime convention that celebrates gaming, anime, food and beverages. The inaugural event will be held at Bell Bank Park on October 28-30, 2022 in Mesa, AZ.
Attend Panels, visit our massive Vendor Hall, Cosplay contests and try some tasty food that has been curated by some of the best chef’s in AZ. Please visit the official UwU Con website for more details at http://www.uwucon.com.
Single day tickets and multi-day packages are available. Taxes and fees will be added at check out.
Children 12 years of age and younger are free. All attendees must have a ticket to enter.
Allowed props at Bell Bank Park:
- Lightsabers, wands, and sonic screwdrivers
- Bows that are completely inoperable: un-strung is best, but loosely strung is OK too.
- Non-removable arrows in a quiver AND/OR arrows with no tip.
- Foam, plastic, fiberglass, resin or metal shields with no sharp edges.
- Metal shields are allowed, but may slow down the screening process at security.
- Lightweight plastic bats. Any other accessories to the bat (such as those on Negan’s Lucille or the Demogorgon Killer) should also be made of foam or other lightweight material and incapable of harming others. No real barbed wire or nails, please!
- Armor made of plastic, fiberglass, resin, or metal. Please note: Metal armor is allowed, but will drastically slow down the screening process at security.
- Any other props & armor (except for anything resembling any sort of real or replica firearm) made of Plastic, Thermoplastic (Worbla), Urethane Resin, Cardboard, Foam, Foam Rubber, or other lightweight material.
- Any metal pieces of your costume will likely result in slowing down the security screening process.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our guests, and to comply with the state laws and local ordinances, the following items are prohibited at Bell Bank Park:
- Outside food & drink
- Outside alcohol
- Firearms; real, toy, or simulated
- Impact weapons
- Explosives; simulated or real
- Edged weapons
- Chemical self-defense weapons
- Archery weapons
- Illegal drugs
*Allowable Props and Prohibited Items are subject to change.
Final decisions on prop weapons and armor will always be at the discretion of Bell Bank Park Security and the Mesa Police Department. Please keep this in mind as you’re creating your fabulous cosplays.
